Profile
Civil engineer working on the numerical side of geotechnical engineering. Current MSc research covers offshore wind turbine foundations — floating concepts, anchoring systems, and structural health monitoring for far-offshore installations — alongside the finite element methods and constitutive models that underpin them. Author of KATAI 2D, a verification-driven finite element platform for two-dimensional geotechnical analysis, and of Nerve, a zero-dependency machine learning library in ANSI C. Developing engineering software on contract since 2016.
Research
- Offshore wind turbine foundations: floating concepts, anchoring and mooring systems
- Structural health monitoring for far-offshore installations
- Constitutive modelling of soils, and the numerical treatment of yield-surface singularities
- Verification methodology for engineering software
- Coupled consolidation and groundwater flow
